What is AIDS
AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is the final stage of an infection caused
by HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). It is an illness that impairs the body's ability to fight Infection, making the body extremely susceptible to life threatening
disease. There is no cure for HIV or AIDS, and anyone can become infected.
The AIDS Circle of Hope of North Central Texas is a community of people who desire to:
Provide assistance to those infected and affected
persons living with HIV/AIDS and their loved ones to
experience the care and compassion of
God through the community of faith and to maintain their
dignity and fullness of life.
- Be advocates on behalf of those infected by HIV/AIDS to the community at large.
Raise public awareness and develop community resources and
support for HIV infected persons, their families and persons at risk.
Services provided by Circle of Hope
Since autumn of 1993, the AIDS Circle of Hope has become an ecumenical ministry of persons seeking to serve their neighbors infected and affected with HIV/AIDS.
In identifying and implementing necessary services, each participant is asked to consider, not, "Who around me is worthy to be my neighbor?" but, rather,
"Am I being a worthy neighbor to those around me?" As a result, the following services are provided by the AIDS Circle of Hope.
Provides supplemental food to assist HIV infected persons in
meeting their nutritional needs.
provides public transportation passes so that clients are able to reach the food
pantry & medical appointments.
- Medical Assistance:
Provides prescription medication assistance in accordance
Circle of Hope Guidelines.
Provides, on a case by case basis, occasional help with utility
and/or rent deposits for our clients.
The AIDS Circle of Hope of North Central Texas is a non-profit organization according to the guidelines of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.
In its journey to be a neighbor, the Circle of Hope is seeking to fulfill the following goals:
To increase public education about HIV through the World AIDS Day program
Maintain a facility to house the food pantry & other services in a central location.
Expand the donation base to increase services in all areas.
Obtain grants to provide community-based education and intervention programs.
Continue to provide services to clients in Wichita County and the ten surrounding counties.

Consider a Gift to the Circle of Hope
Your gift can provide our clients with needed services, such as supplemental food, hygiene items, transportation, and prescriptions. If you choose,
we can send a card to the beneficiary or family to inform them of your gift, while keeping the amount in confidence. A gift can be given in the name,
honor, or memory of a person, or to commemorate a special event. Donor envelopes are available from our office or can be sent to you upon request, by
